Endomorphisms of Artin groups of type $\tilde A_n$

We determine a classification of the endomorphisms of the Artin group of affine type $\tilde A_n$ for $n\ge 4$. In particular, we establish that these groups are co-Hopfian, which is the first known example of co-Hopfian Artin groups.
