Linked spaces and exit paths

Given a span of $\infty$-groupoids one of whose legs is a Kan fibration and the other a cofibration, we construct an $\infty$-category, the exit path $\infty$-category of the span. This gives access to stratified geometry by means only of unstratified objects.
