On Some Applications of Direct Limits to Uniform Algebras

Sebastian Gwizdek

Published 2022-05-28Version 1

Two functors related to direct and inverse limits of systems of bidual Banach spaces are introduced. Among the applications of this construction we have a result concerning supports of representing measures which was crucial in the recent proof of the Corona Theorem by M. Kosiek and K. Rudol. In the last section we discuss the B. J. Cole's construction of a uniform algebra with a property that every element possesses a root.
