A mapping between antiskyrmions and Skyrmions in ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic thin films including Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction is described. Rate theory is used to estimate the lifetime of an antiskyrmion on a 900x900 lattice with parameters chosen to mimic recently observed antiskyrmions in Mn{Pt{Sn tetragonal Heusler materials [A. K. Nayak et al., Nature 548, 561 (2017)]. The calculated results are consistent with the high stability observed at room temperature and can be ascribed to high energy barrier for annihilation. Orientations of the antiskyrmion for which it will travel in the direction of an applied spin polarized current can be predicted based on the mapping.
