Taking advantage of coherent light polarizations, we experimentally investigate the variance-based uncertainty relations and the optimal universal uncertainty relation. Different from measuring the individual quanta in most of the experiments, we examine the uncertainty relations by measuring the Stokes parameters of coherent radiation field, which yields high precision results. We experimentally verify the optimality of a recently proposed universal uncertainty relation by measuring the Lorenz curves. Result shows that the Lorenz curve represents the faithful verification of the majorization uncertainty relation and the uncertainty relation is indeed an ensemble property of quantum system.
