Wave-particle duality of many-body quantum states

Published 2019-01-09Version 1

We formulate a quantitative theory of wave-particle duality for many-body quantum states. Its main conclusions are complementarity relations for the wave and particle character of many identical bosons or fermions equipped with a tunable level of distinguishability. The complementarity relations constrain measurement statistics and visibilities in general - possibly interacting - many-particle dynamics, and, thereby, provide a versatile framework to witness and benchmark complementarity on the many-particle level.
