No solitary waves in 2-d gravity and capillary waves in deep water
Published 2018-08-23Version 1
This article is concerned with the incompressible, irrotational, infinite depth water wave equation in two space dimensions, either with gravity and without surface tension, or without gravity but with surface tension. For both of these problems we prove that there are no solitary waves.
