We introduce the notion of Stokes shells describing the irregular singularity of meromorphic flat bundles on a punctured disc. We apply it to the study of the Fourier transform of holonomic D-modules on a complex projective line. Namely, we explicitly describe the Stokes structure at infinity of the Fourier transform of such D-modules as a successive extensions of Stokes shells.
