Geometrical Formulation of Relativistic Mechanics

Sumanto Chanda, Partha Guha

Published 2017-06-06Version 1

The relativistic Lagrangian in presence of potentials has been formulated directly from the metric to produce covariant equations of motion. Here, we study and compare the formulation to the conventional ad-hoc version formulation under some non-relativistic approximations. We will also briefly analyze the relativistic Li\'enard oscillator and the spacetime it implies.
