We employ a model introduced by a periodically corrugated thin layer to investigate the effects of the geometrical curvature on transmission. The geometric potential is obtained by performing the thin-layer quantization procedure. With the help of the transfer matrix method the transmission probability is calculated. We find that the transmission gaps emerge from the corrugations, and in the tunneling domains the peaks and valleys are mainly constructed by the boundaries, slightly modified by the layer thickness. These results can provide an access to design a curvature-tunable filter.
