The quantization of the classical Chern-Simons-part of action under typical quantum Hall conditions results in the quantized Hall conductivity. We show further that the classical Hall-effect is described by a theory which arises as the classical limit of a theory of quantum Hall-effect. The model explains also the preference and the domain of the edge currents on the boundary of samples.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "1996-03-08T11:34:12.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "quantum theory", "hall effect", "typical quantum hall conditions results", "integer quantum hall-effect", "edge currents" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1007/BF02435792" }, "note": { "typesetting": "LaTeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 416574, "adsabs": "1996quant.ph..3011G" } } }
