The standart Doeblin's condition can be interpreted in this context, and, when suitably reformulated, it leads to a formula for the essential spectral radius. This results may be used to characterize the Markov kernels having a quasi-compact action on a space of measurable functions bounded with respect to some test function, when no irreducibilty and aperiodicity are assumed.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2006-06-27T14:01:06.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "60J05", "47B07", "47B65", "60F15" ], "keywords": [ "absolutely continuous kernels", "markov chains", "essential spectral radius", "quasi-compactness", "applications" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 31, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2006math......6680H" } } }
