A number of physically interesting constraints are then established on the location of trapped and marginally trapped surfaces in the vicinity of any dynamical horizon. These restrictions are used to prove several uniqueness theorems for dynamical horizons. Ramifications of some of these results to numerical simulations of black hole spacetimes are discussed. Finally several expectations on the interplay between isometries and dynamical horizons are shown to be borne out.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v4", "updated": "2005-11-11T11:53:10.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "dynamical horizon", "uniqueness results", "black hole spacetimes", "uniqueness theorems", "physically interesting constraints" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.4310/ATMP.2005.v9.n1.a1" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 26, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 679162, "adsabs": "2005gr.qc.....3109A" } } }
