The dynamics confirms statistical mechanics equilibrium predictions for the Hamiltonian Mean Field model and the equilibrium ensemble equivalence. We find that long-lasting quasi-stationary states persist in presence of the interaction with the environment. Our results indicate that quasi-stationary states are indeed reproducible in real physical experiments.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2006-09-13T16:23:08.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "quasi-stationary states", "hamiltonian dynamics", "long-range systems", "hamiltonian mean field model", "dynamics confirms statistical mechanics equilibrium" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Phys.
