These models are characterized by a breakdown of symmetry O(N)/O(N-P). We show that the phase transition is clearly first order for N >= 3 when P=N and P=N-1, contrary to predictions based on the Renormalization Group in 4-\\epsilon expansion but in agreement with a recent non perturbative Renormalization Group approach.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2000-01-11T14:53:36.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "05.50.+q", "75.10.Hk", "05.70.Fh" ], "keywords": [ "phase transition", "stiefels models", "generalized chiral", "non perturbative renormalization group approach", "monte carlo simulations" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1007/PL00011048", "journal": "European Physical Journal B", "year": 2000, "month": "May", "volume": 15, "number": 3, "pages": 517 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 9, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2000EPJB...15..517L" } } }
