  "abstract": "We comment on a work by T. Liverpool (Phys. Rev. E 101 (2020)). We show that a theorem stated in that work is not correct. While this is inconsequential to the bulk of the work (and holds asymptotically as we show), it is instructive to highlight the importance of phase space compression in active systems with generalized dynamics.",
