  "abstract": "We establish decay of transfer operators in a Holder norm for observables of uniformly and nonuniformly expanding semiflows with exponential decay of correlations. Our results fall short of establishing a spectral gap; indeed we prove that such a result is impossible for Holder exponent greater than 1/2.",
