We construct a family of steady vortex pairs for the Euler equations with a general vorticity function, which constitutes a desingularization of a pair of point vortices with equal magnitude and opposite signs. The results are obtained by using an improved vorticity method.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2020-12-20T13:33:18.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "2d incompressible euler equations", "traveling vortex pairs", "two-dimensional incompressible euler equations", "steady vortex pairs", "general vorticity function" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable" } } }
