We derive their effective free energy, entropic interaction, correlations and screening. Unlike in pyrochlore ices, a dimensional mismatch between real and entropic interactions leads to weak singularities at the pinch points signaling an algebraic screening, which can be, however, camouflaged by a pseudo-screening regime.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2020-09-23T18:32:18.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "magnetic monopoles", "entropic interaction", "degenerate square spin ice", "thermodynamics", "emergent entropic field" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable" } } }
