Our results can be applied to models where the smoothness is lost on the set $\\Sigma=\\{xy=0\\}$. We also apply them to present a variant of Hilbert 16th problem, where the goal is to bound the number of limit cycles in terms of the number of monomials of a family of polynomial vector fields, instead of doing this in terms of their degrees.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2020-08-18T01:45:05.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "34C07", "37G15", "34C25", "34C29", "37C27" ], "keywords": [ "non-smooth planar systems", "limit cycles", "hilbert 16th problem", "study lower bounds", "polynomial vector fields" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable" } } }
