  "abstract": "For a quadratic extension $E/F$ of non-archimedean local fields of characteristic not equal to $2$, we prove the stability of Asai local factors attached to irreducible admissible representations of $GL(2,E)$ via the Rankin-Selberg method. Our strategy is to compute the associated zeta integrals using certain special Whittaker functions called Howe Whittaker functions which are also partial Bessel functions.",
