In the model each coordinate of particle is a compact variable on a radius-$R$ circle, and appears as the angle-variable of the magnetic model. It is clarified that the phase transition in the model, in contrast to the 1d magnetic systems, is due to the different appearance of radius $R$ (volume $V$) in the particle dynamics interpretation of the magnetic model.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2018-11-01T05:59:28.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "first-order phase transition", "xy model", "magnetic model", "1d magnetic systems", "particle dynamics interpretation" ], "note": { "typesetting": "LaTeX", "pages": 7, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable" } } }
