The main result of Glassey-Strauss (1986) shows that a solution $(f, E, B)$ remains $C^1$ as long as the momentum support of $f$ remains bounded. Alternate proofs were later given by Bouchut-Golse-Pallard (2003) and Klainerman-Staffilani (2002). We show that only the boundedness of the momentum support of $f$ after projecting to any two dimensional plane is needed for $(f, E, B)$ to remain $C^1$.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2014-06-01T14:13:29.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "relativistic vlasov-maxwell system", "continuation criterion", "regular finite energy initial data", "sufficiently regular finite energy initial", "momentum support" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1007/s00220-014-2108-8", "journal": "Communications in Mathematical Physics", "year": 2014, "month": "Nov", "volume": 331, "number": 3, "pages": 1005 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 21, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2014CMaPh.331.1005L" } } }
