Furthermore, we prove that this CMC foliation of $X$ can be chosen so that the constant values of the mean curvatures of its leaves change sign. We also prove a general structure theorem for any such non-minimal CMC foliation of $X$ that describes relationships between the geometry and topology of the leaves, including the property that there exist compact leaves for every attained value of the mean curvature.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2014-05-08T18:21:10.000Z", "comment": "24 pages, 4 figures; added acknowledgements to the introduction", "journal": null, "doi": null }, { "version": "v3", "updated": "2014-08-27T10:34:37.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "53A10", "49Q05", "53C42" ], "keywords": [ "closed manifolds", "constant mean curvature", "general structure theorem", "leaves change sign", "non-minimal cmc foliation" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 24, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2014arXiv1404.1725M" } } }
