By relating them to the matrix models that arise in Chern-Simons theory, we compute their free energies in the large N limit and establish relationships between the respective gauge theories. We use these correspondences to rederive the N^3 behaviour of the perturbative free energy of supersymmetric gauge theory on certain toric Sasaki-Einstein five-manifolds, and the one-loop thermal free energy of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory on a spatial three-sphere.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2013-10-22T01:04:21.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "11.10.Kk", "05.30.Fk", "11.15.Yc", "12.60.Jv" ], "keywords": [ "supersymmetric gauge theory", "chern-simons matrix models", "coulomb gases", "supersymmetric yang-mills theory", "one-loop thermal free energy" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review D", "year": 2014, "month": "Jan", "volume": 89, "number": 2, "pages": "025016" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 17, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1258154, "adsabs": "2014PhRvD..89b5016G" } } }
