We obtain an effective Hamiltonian for this system by using a method recently introduced that produces a small rotation to the Hamiltonian that allows to neglect some terms in the rotated Hamiltonian. Then we solve a variation of the Schr\\\"odinger equation that models decoherence as the system evolves through intrinsic mechanisms beyond conventional quantum mechanics rather than dissipative interaction with an environment.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2013-09-17T16:46:54.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "two-level atom", "intrinsic decoherence", "interaction", "conventional quantum mechanics", "models decoherence" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Annalen der Physik", "year": 2009, "month": "Jun", "volume": 521, "number": 6, "pages": 454 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009AnP...521..454J" } } }
