Both C and O are good tracers of stellar populations; distinct trends of [C/Fe] and [O/Fe] as a function of [Fe/H] are found for high- and low-alpha halo stars and for thick- and thin-disk stars. These trends and that of [C/O] provide new information on the nucleosynthesis sites of carbon and the time-scale for the chemical enrichment of the various Galactic components.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2013-06-20T11:54:23.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "stellar populations", "oi atomic lines", "low-alpha halo stars", "distinct trends", "main-sequence stars" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1017/S1743921313006212" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1239312, "adsabs": "2014IAUS..298...65N" } } }
