The quantum noise induces considerable fluctuation of the switching time at zero temperature. By including the thermal noise, the temperature dependence of the expectation value and standard deviation of the switching time are obtained in the Monte Carlo simulations, and the results are fitted to an effective first passage model. We expect that the predictions here are observable in the single-shot measurement experiments.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2013-03-27T07:18:09.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "72.70.+m", "03.65.-w", "42.50.Lc" ], "keywords": [ "thermal noise", "spin-torque-driven magnetization switching", "quantum noise induces considerable fluctuation", "single-shot measurement experiments", "effective first passage model" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Applied Physics Letters", "year": 2013, "month": "Jul", "volume": 103, "number": 2, "pages": "022403" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 4, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2013ApPhL.103b2403W" } } }
