Here, we revisit the geometric discord by considering general Schatten p-norms, explicitly showing that the 1-norm is the only p-norm able to define a consistent quantum correlation measure. In addition, by restricting the optimization to the tetrahedron of two-qubit Bell-diagonal states, we provide an analytical expression for the 1-norm geometric discord, which turns out to be equivalent to the negativity of quantumness. We illustrate the measure by analyzing its monotonicity properties.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v3", "updated": "2013-06-09T00:12:26.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "03.65.Ud", "03.67.Mn", "75.10.Jm" ], "keywords": [ "geometric quantum discord", "consistent quantum correlation measure", "geometric discord", "two-qubit bell-diagonal states", "considering general schatten p-norms" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review A", "year": 2013, "month": "Jun", "volume": 87, "number": 6, "pages": "064101" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2013PhRvA..87f4101P" } } }
