Using arguments based on the Harris criterion, as well as numerical simulations, we find that such correlated quenched disorder shifts the familiar superfluid lambda transition to a new disordered universality class in which the correlation length exponent $\\nu\\ge 1$. This results in the temperature-derivates for the superfluid density, $d\\rho_{\\rm s}/dT$, and for the heat capacity, $dc/dT$, remaining finite at the transition $T_{\\rm c}$, and thus a less singular transition, profoundly different from the usual lambda transition.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2012-11-22T21:07:54.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "67.80.bd", "64.60.A-", "67.25.dj" ], "keywords": [ "correlated defect network", "superfluid transition", "familiar superfluid lambda transition", "correlation length exponent", "usual lambda transition" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevB.87.214520", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2013, "month": "Jun", "volume": 87, "number": 21, "pages": 214520 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 5, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2013PhRvB..87u4520M" } } }
