We used an extensive literature, the latest Hipparcos reduction, data from two globular clusters, and new observations from Apache Point Observatory to compile a sample that allowed us to study the effect of [Fe/H] on the Wilson-Bappu relationship. Our results include reporting the deviations from linearity and demonstrating that the Wilson-Bappu relationship is insensitive to metallicity.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2012-10-23T17:26:19.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "dependence", "wilson-bappu relationship", "type ia supergiants", "latest hipparcos reduction", "apache point observatory" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1086/668845", "journal": "Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific", "year": 2012, "month": "Dec", "volume": 124, "number": 922, "pages": 1246 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 16, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1192903, "adsabs": "2012PASP..124.1246G" } } }
