The resulting generalized second law sets the fundamental limit of energy dissipation and energy cost during the information exchange. Our results apply not only to feedback-controlled processes but also to a much broader class of information exchanges, and provides a unified framework of nonequilibrium thermodynamics of measurement and feedback control.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2012-10-10T05:24:13.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "05.70.Ln", "05.20.-y", "05.40.Jc" ], "keywords": [ "information exchange", "fluctuation theorem", "stochastic thermodynamics", "correlations", "resulting generalized second law sets" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevLett.109.180602", "journal": "Physical Review Letters", "year": 2012, "month": "Nov", "volume": 109, "number": 18, "pages": 180602 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2012PhRvL.109r0602S" } } }
