The specimens show magnetodielectric effect at room temperature with a change of dielectric constant as a function of magnetic field, the electric field frequency varying from 100 to 700 kHz. A decrease of 5% in the value of dielectric constant was observed up to a field of 1.2 Tesla. This is explained by an inhomogeneous two-component composite model as theoretically proposed recently. The present approach will open up synthesis of various nanocomposites for sensor applications.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2012-05-07T11:41:33.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "magnetodielectric effect", "mica composites", "dielectric constant", "inhomogeneous two-component composite model", "magnetic field" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "EPL (Europhysics Letters)", "year": 2010, "month": "Oct", "volume": 92, "number": 2, "pages": 26003 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 11, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2010EL.....9226003M" } } }
