In an S-TS junction, no supercurrent flow is possible under fairly general conditions. For the S-TS-S junction, bulk TS quasiparticles must be accessible to have a Josephson effect. In the noninteracting case, we derive the exact current-phase relation (CPR) and find \\pi-periodic behavior with negative critical current for weak tunnel couplings. Charging effects then cause the anomalous CPR $I(\\varphi)=I_c \\cos\\varphi$, where the parity-sensitive critical current I_c provides a signature for Majorana states.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2012-03-13T10:08:55.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "73.23.-b", "71.10.Pm", "74.50.+r" ], "keywords": [ "supercurrent blockade", "josephson junctions", "majorana wire", "majorana fermion end states", "josephson effect" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2012, "month": "Mar", "volume": 85, "number": 10, "pages": 104514 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1188379, "adsabs": "2012PhRvB..85j4514Z" } } }
