This function describes special four-body configurations, but also contains contributions due to the so-called mutual nearest neighbor (two-body) and shared neighbor (three-body) configurations. The CPDF is introduced to improve a Helmholtz free energy method based on space partitions. We derive exact expressions of the CPDF and various associated quantities for randomly distributed, non-interacting points at Euclidean spaces of one, two and three dimensions. Results may be of interest in many diverse scientific fields, from fluid physics to social and biological sciences.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2012-04-26T14:15:57.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "02.50.-r", "05.20.Jj", "51.30.+i" ], "keywords": [ "many-body systems", "exact results", "poisson ensembles", "conditional pair distribution function", "helmholtz free energy method" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review E", "year": 2012, "month": "May", "volume": 85, "number": 5, "pages": "051109" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 12, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 930274, "adsabs": "2012PhRvE..85e1109R" } } }
