The spectra of L\\\"uders operators (elementary operators on B(H) with positive coefficients) of lengths at least three are not necessarily contained in the set of all nonnegative real numbers. On the other hand, the spectra of such operators of lengths at most two contain only nonnegative real numbers, if the coefficients on one side commute.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2011-08-20T09:47:15.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "positive operators", "uders operators", "nonnegative real numbers", "infinite dimensional hilbert space", "compact perturbation" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2011arXiv1108.4105M" } } }
