In particular we find upper limits on any spin-up/down phase of XTE J1814-338 of $|\\dot{\\nu}|\\lesssim\\,1.5\\times\\,10^{-14}$ Hz/s at 95% confidence level. We examine the possibility that a gravitational wave torque may be acting in these systems and suggest that a more likely scenario is that both systems are close to spin equilibrium, as set by the disc/magnetosphere interaction.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2011-06-30T15:19:01.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "gravitational wave emission", "spin equilibrium", "millisecond x-ray pulsars sax j1808", "accreting millisecond x-ray pulsars sax", "gravitational wave torque" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1088/2041-8205/738/1/L14", "journal": "The Astrophysical Journal", "year": 2011, "month": "Sep", "volume": 738, "number": 1 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 916547, "adsabs": "2011ApJ...738L..14H" } } }
