We generalized the result by considering a protocol where the physical system is driven away from an initial thermal equilibrium state with temperature $\\beta_0$ to a final thermal equilibrium state at a different temperature. We illustrate the result using a model with an exact solution, i.e., a particle in a moving one-dimensional harmonic well.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2010-11-22T13:14:15.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "05.70.Ln", "05.20.-y", "05.40.-a" ], "keywords": [ "nonequilibrium systems", "generalized relation", "relative entropy", "dissipation", "final thermal equilibrium state" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review E", "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevE.82.052104", "year": 2010, "month": "Nov", "volume": 82, "number": 5, "pages": "052104" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 4, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2010PhRvE..82e2104Z" } } }
