It is believed that the phase diagram presents three phases: An ordered ferromagnetic phase I, a phase characterized by a change from out-of-plane to in-plane in the magnetization II, and a high-temperature paramagnetic phase III. It is claimed that the border lines from phase I to III and II to III are of second order and from I to II is first order. In the present work we have performed a very careful Monte Carlo simulation of the model. Our results strongly support that the line separating phases II and III is of the BKT type.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2010-10-21T17:47:01.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "75.10.Hk", "75.30.Kz", "75.40.Mg" ], "keywords": [ "ultrathin magnetic films", "anisotropic heisenberg model", "monte carlo simulation", "long-range interactions", "phase transition" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2007, "month": "Jan", "volume": 75, "number": 1, "pages": "014425" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 7, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2007PhRvB..75a4425R" } } }
