In this paper we analyze three separate classical/quantum problems using coherent states, and show that useful connections arise among them. The topics discussed are: (1) a truly natural formulation of phase space path integrals; (2) how this analysis implies that the usual classical formalism is ``simply a subset'' of the quantum formalism, and thus demonstrates a universal coexistence of both the classical and quantum formalisms; and (3) how these two insights lead to a complete analytic solution of a formerly insoluble family of nonlinear quantum field theory models.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2010-08-25T16:11:54.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "03.65.Db", "03.65.Ta", "03.65.Ca" ], "keywords": [ "coherent states", "quantum foundations", "nonlinear quantum field theory models", "quantum formalism", "phase space path integrals" ], "tags": [ "conference paper", "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1134/S0030400X11110166", "journal": "Optics and Spectroscopy", "year": 2011, "month": "Oct", "volume": 111, "number": 4, "pages": 501 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 9, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 866794, "adsabs": "2011OptSp.111..501K" } } }
