We demonstrate that edge disorder can lead to a suppression of thermal conductivity by several orders of magnitude. This effect is associated with the edge-induced Anderson localization and suppression of the phonon transport, and it becomes more pronounced for longer nanoribbons and low temperatures.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2010-06-24T21:11:03.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "65.80.-g", "63.22.Gh" ], "keywords": [ "thermal conductivity", "rough edges", "graphene nanoribbons", "suppression", "edge disorder" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevB.82.195422", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2010, "month": "Nov", "volume": 82, "number": 19, "pages": 195422 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2010PhRvB..82s5422S" } } }
