A close look is made into the properties of such an isolated quartet of pseudo-zero-mode levels at half filling in the presence of an in-plane electric field and the Coulomb interaction. The pseudo-zero-mode levels turn out to support, via orbital mixing, charge carriers with induced electric dipole moment, which lead to characteristic collective excitations, pseudospin waves, with some controllable features; possible experimental signals are discussed.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2009-12-11T10:56:03.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "pseudo-zero-mode landau levels", "pseudospin waves", "bilayer graphene", "magnetic field supports", "zero-energy landau levels" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1016/j.physe.2009.11.055", "journal": "Physica E Low-Dimensional Systems and Nanostructures", "year": 2010, "month": "Feb", "volume": 42, "number": 4, "pages": 736 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 4, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2010PhyE...42..736S" } } }
