A new implementation of the BDDC method is presented based on a global formulation without an explicit coarse problem, with massive parallelism provided by a multifrontal solver. Constraints are implemented by a projection and sparsity of the projected operator is preserved by a generalized change of variables. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated on several engineering problems.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2011-02-28T16:34:31.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "65N55", "65F08", "G.1.3" ], "keywords": [ "dimensions", "explicit coarse problem", "face constraints", "global formulation", "adaptive bddc method" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 28, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009arXiv0910.5863M" } } }
