We find the FCS from the eigenvalues of the density matrix of outgoing states of one lead. In the general case of a general time-dependent bias and time-dependent transparency we solve for these eigenvalues numerically. We report the FCS for the case of a step pulse applied between the leads and a constant barrier transparency (this case is equivalent to Fermi edge singularity problem). We have also studied combinations of a time-dependent barrier transparency and biases between the leads. In particular we look at protocols which excite the minimal number of excitations for a given charge transfer (low noise electron source) and protocols which maximise entanglement of charge states.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2009-09-18T13:11:39.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "72.70.+m", "03.65.Ud", "73.23.-b" ], "keywords": [ "quantum point contact", "time-dependent transparency", "fermi edge singularity problem", "zero temperature full counting statistics", "charge transfer" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2009, "month": "Dec", "volume": 80, "number": 24, "pages": 245308 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 13, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009PhRvB..80x5308Z" } } }
