Both electrons with parabolic dispersion as well as Dirac electrons with linear dispersion are studied. We found that in such a magnetic quantum dot no electrons can be confined. Nevertheless close to the Landau levels quasi-bound states can exist with a rather long life time.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2009-07-21T13:31:20.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "73.63.Kv", "73.43.Cd", "81.05.Uw" ], "keywords": [ "magnetic quantum dot", "dirac electrons", "schrodinger", "landau levels quasi-bound states", "long life time" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review B", "year": 2009, "month": "Apr", "volume": 79, "number": 15, "pages": 155451 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 9, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009PhRvB..79o5451R" } } }
