The method is successfully applied to SN 1006. We found that synthesized IC gamma-ray images of SN 1006 show morphology in nice agreement with that reported by the H.E.S.S. collaboration. The good correlation found between the observed very-high energy gamma-ray and X-ray/radio appearance can be considered as an evidence that the gamma-ray emission of SN 1006 observed by H.E.S.S. is leptonic in origin, though the hadronic origin may not be excluded.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2009-07-06T12:49:49.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "inverse compton emission", "predicted gamma-ray image", "spatially resolved x-ray spectral analysis", "very-high energy gamma-ray", "synthesized ic gamma-ray images" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1111/j.1365-2966.2009.15352.x", "journal": "Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society", "year": 2009, "month": "Oct", "volume": 399, "number": 1, "pages": 157 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 10, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 825021, "adsabs": "2009MNRAS.399..157P" } } }
