Using negativity and concurrence as entanglement measures, I find that in general there is no correlation between the complete loss of entanglement in the system and the fidelity of the stored quantum information. These results complement previous results in which quantum protocols not explictly based on entanglement exhibit little correlation between ESD and the accuracy of the given protocol.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2009-04-06T15:39:14.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "03.67.Mn", "03.67.Bg", "03.67.Pp" ], "keywords": [ "entanglement sudden death", "quantum memory", "complete loss", "decoherence free subspaces", "protect quantum information" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review A", "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevA.80.022310", "year": 2009, "month": "Aug", "volume": 80, "number": 2, "pages": "022310" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009PhRvA..80b2310W" } } }
