Svetlichny. He speculated that the secret of the Feynman path integral may lie in the property of mutual unbiasedness of temporally proximal bases. We confirm the corresponding property of the short-time propagator by using a specially devised N x N -approximation of quantum mechanics in L^2(R) applied to our finite-dimensional analogue of a free quantum particle.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2009-08-05T09:00:36.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "mutually unbiased bases", "quantum mechanics", "feynman path integral", "free quantum particle", "feynmans path integral" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Journal of Physics A Mathematical General", "year": 2009, "month": "Jun", "volume": 42, "number": 24, "pages": 245306 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 12, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009JPhA...42x5306T" } } }
