This method is based on identifying the current cumulants from a Rayleigh-Schrodinger perturbation expansion for the generating function. Here it is derived from a simple path-distribution identity and extended to the joint statistics of multiple currents. For a possible thermodynamical interpretation, we compare this approach to a generalized Onsager-Machlup formalism. We present calculations for a boundary driven Kawasaki dynamics on a one-dimensional chain, both for attractive and repulsive particle interactions.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2008-10-11T10:29:30.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "current cumulants", "small nonequilibrium systems", "computation", "boundary driven kawasaki dynamics", "stochastic nonequilibrium systems" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Journal of Statistical Physics", "year": 2009, "month": "Apr", "volume": 135, "number": 1, "pages": 57 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 19, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2009JSP...135...57B" } } }
