One, in the form of the symmetric matrix, manifests the departure from the equilibrium formula through the quantity so-called {\\it irreversible circulation}. The other, in the anti-symmetric form, connects the asymmetries in the fluctuation and the response function. These formulas represent characteristic features of fluctuations far from equilibrium, which have no counterparts in thermal equilibrium.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2008-04-24T01:15:20.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "05.40.-a", "05.70.Ln" ], "keywords": [ "probing nonequilibrium fluctuations", "formulas represent characteristic features", "nonequilibrium steady state", "linear response analysis", "independent fluctuation-response relations" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review E", "year": 2008, "month": "May", "volume": 77, "number": 5, "pages": "050102" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 5, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "adsabs": "2008PhRvE..77e0102S" } } }
